DC: JULIA CHILDS KITCHEN RECREATED

17 August 2009 - Washington, DC - The Smithsonian National Museum of American History has a permanent exhibit meticulously recreating Julia Child's Cambridge, Mass. kitchen where Child filmed many of her television shows. Many Americans became aware of French cooking and learned to explore the art of French cooking through Julia Child. She published "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" in 1961 and then started her television show "The French Chef".
